Kate Pinchuck

Kate Pinchuck is an actor, writer and stand-up comedian. She has an Honours degree in Theatre and Performance Studies specialising in Acting, Contemporary Performance and Scriptwriting from Rhodes University (2015). Notable roles include Isabel in Athol Fugard’s My Children! My Africa! at Artscape (directed by Roy Sargeant, 2017, 2018), Hortensio in the critically-acclaimed all-female The Taming of the Shrew at Maynardville (directed by Tara Notcutt, 2018) and SUSANN in the Ovation Award winning Gaslight at the National Arts Festival Fringe (directed by Laine Butler, 2018). Kate has been rising up in the comedy scene in Cape Town and Joburg. She recently taped a line-up comedy special for Mannequin Films, Laugh At First Sight, set to premiere on DSTV Box Office in early 2019. She was featured in the 2017 Next Generation Showcase at Grand West, was a semi-finalist in the 2017 Savannah Show Us Your Apples competition and performed in the televised 2018 Comics Choice Awards Newcomer Showcase at the Soweto Theatre.
